Cookie Policy
Effective August 24, 2026
This page explains the cookies, storage and similar technologies used on hirebestpros.com, what each category is for, and how you can control them.
01What these technologies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Local storage and session storage work in a similar way, and pixels and tags are small pieces of code that report activity back to a service. This policy uses the word cookies to cover all of them.
02Categories we use
We group these technologies into the categories below. Not every category is active at all times, and we update this page as tools change.
- Essential. Required for the site to load and work, including page routing, security and basic error handling. These cannot be switched off.
- Functional and session personalization. Browser session storage that remembers what you told us during your visit, such as your ZIP code, the service you described and answers you already gave, so you are not asked twice. This is stored in your browser for the current session and is cleared when the session ends.
- Analytics. Aggregate measurement of how pages and search are used, so we can improve them. Analytics tools may be connected in the future and this policy will name the categories in use.
- Advertising and attribution. Source and campaign information (for example UTM parameters and click identifiers) that tells us which ad or referring site a visit came from, and measurement tags used by advertising platforms where connected.
03Session personalization on this site
To make the experience less repetitive, the site keeps a small amount of information in your browser for the current session, such as your ZIP code, the service you described and answers you already gave in a form or in a Billy conversation. This stays in your browser, is used to avoid asking you the same question twice, and clears when your session ends. It is not a user account.
04Advertising and attribution
If you arrive from an advertisement or a partner site, the link may carry campaign parameters that tell us where the visit came from. We use that to measure which campaigns work. Advertising platforms may also set their own cookies when their tags are present, and those platforms may use them to measure conversions or to show you ads elsewhere. Depending on your state, this may be treated as sharing for targeted advertising. See Privacy Choices.
05How to control cookies
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies and clear site data in their settings. Blocking essential cookies may break parts of the site.
- Many browsers and extensions support a Global Privacy Control signal, which tells sites you want to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information.
- You can submit an opt out request directly on Privacy Choices.
